My name is Kate and I have been teaching English since 2005.
I find this a very fulfilling job, especially when I know it is helping people achieve their goals - long- or short- term.
I'm supportive, work with students at their speed and using the methods that are best suited to them individually.
Students make a lot of progress in a short time as I tailor programmes according to their abilities and requirements.
I enjoy films, music, travelling and cultures - learning new things and exploring new places. I also enjoy outdoor sports like walking and cycling.
In addition to my brother and I, a variety of friends live in and around the area, all different ages and with different interests. We are lucky to have friends of all ages and interests, some with young families.
I have taught English as a foreign language since qualifying in 2005 from TEFL International in Rome, Italy.
My students are all ages, abilities and many nationalities and study for business, academic or personal reasons. I have experience in teaching all ages, from eight to seventy-five, for the Baccalaureate, general immersion, business and Cambridge exams. I have also taught in a primary school and 1-1 through to small groups and full classes of sixteen for ESL (all different abilities but generally teens or early twenties).
